My double-edged Occam's razor for extraterrestrial life:
Due to the vast scale of the universe, the probability of other life existing rounds to 100%.
Due to the vast scale of the universe, the probability of finding other life rounds to 0%.
- dspillett 4y agoAlso due to the continuing expansion of the universe, that latter probability will get more infinitesimal for any given pocket of life as time goes on and more & more of what has happens in the universe “escapes” their light-cone.
