The only time I used Crystal for work was for creating zip files from a virtual file system in the database that fetched the real file files from S3. It was pretty easy to write, but I kept on having some issues with the part of the standard library that handled the zipping. As Crystal is kinda a small community, I didn't get a lot of feedback from the forums. So I just took a day to rewrite in Go, and its zip library worked great. I'm sure I could have got it working with Crystal if I had more time. I haven't done anything else, but it was fun writing it.
