I’m rather surprised we’re not past the point of no return with our ability to curb Chinese development on most of these things. If they’ve been stealing state secrets and high end technical information for years, and are able to copy technical components regularly, while also possessing a large technically proficient infrastructure, can’t they develop most of this stuff within their own country and become even more self sufficient? I would think these type of bans would have been much more effective 10 or 15 years ago?
