Another common geographic mental misplacement is the degree to which the east coast of the United States runs northeast/southwest. The closest US state to Africa is Maine.
- antognini 4y agoSame with the Californian coast, but going northwest/southeast. A reliable way to blow most Californians' minds is to point out that Reno, Nevada is further west than Los Angeles.
