I hate QR codes for menus with a passion. Feels so awkward, need another app on Android, not easily read on dimly lit places. Usually I tell one of my friends to tell me the url.
On the other hand I love NFC for this. It blows my mind that it's not that common. Works perfectly and feels natural, just place your phone at the NFC tag.

- temp_praneshp 4y agoYeah it's just buggy (same phone here). Works 90% of the time for me (but 100% of the time for my wife, who uses a Pixel 5a).
- bwoodward 4y agoI'm with you. NFC is awesome. I use NFC around the house for basic automation (Hue etc) -- and it definitely should be more common. I was in a restaurant the other night that had QR codes printed on NFC tags, mounted on the wall for each table. The process of pulling up the menu was effortless.
