Ask HN: Why the black bar? Who passed away?
Normally the black bar is when someone passes away but I can't see any submissions like that.
- detaro 4y agostill on the front page. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33384150 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33384150
- version_five 4y agoFunny, you're right of course, I looked for it to share with the poster and I couldn't find it and had to use search. It was only after seeing your comment that I went back and found it there. Anyway, one can always search "has died" ordered by date, as that seems to be the standard HN headline when someone passes
- detaro 4y agoI kind of wish HN would just make the bar a link to the thread, that'd be unobtrusive but still answer the question.
- mike_d 4y agoI missed that and finally found this post on page 4. I thought maybe it was for Twitter?
- Raed667 4y ago@dang please make the black bar clickable and link to the appropriate post, every time it is displayed we have a similar thread.
- gary_0 4y agoI used to think the black bar was a CSS bug in my browser, until I finally saw a thread like this one.
