Definitely a want and not a need but I am an avid gamer and switched to all oled screens in the house. Would never go back. I love immersion in games and the difference between a non oled and an oled is night and day.
- 0-_-0 4y agoNext time I'm getting a new monitor is when 4K240 monitors come out. Might take 2-5 years. Also, when a decent 4K OLED tablet comes out.
- autoexec 4y agoAre you worried about burn in?
- smileysteve 4y agoI've had the LG old since Dec 17, I had a few pixels get stuck once so far, but the refresher program solved them. Also something I have 0 regrets buying and miss when watching anywhere else. Any sound system is also non my list (vs built in)
- telman17 4y agoNot really. For my PCs I use wallpaper engine or just make sure the background changes frequently. Hide the taskbar and keep the desktop clean. For TVs I typically don’t keep the screen set on a pause screen and turn it off when I’m done, run the refreshers when it prompts me to, and just do the suggested maintenance. If burn in happens, which takes an incredible amount of hours with the same elements always on the screen, I’ll probably have gotten a lot of fun out of it anyway and won’t mind upgrading to the new model.
