- giuliomagnifico 4y agoI remember this too, during the SXSW some/many years ago (2006-2007?), all of the people was saying on Twitter "Ehy, is there anybody here?" or "I'm eating/pooping/whatever, and you?" =) yes, it was a better Twitter. But like every other social media, if it's too small, or you pay or it will fail (ehm, also if you pay it can fails, I remember another twitter like app with payments (I even don't remember the name, that is totally abandoned, it had only one letter in the name, or something similar, a very short name). The goal of all social media is to grow but to keep the user base, the old feeling, all the social until now have failed in this, but mainly because every X years a new social grows up with cool features/no ads/etc... (and no revenues), all the people go there, then it adds ads to be profitable or it becomes a mess with too much features, and all the people switch to the new one again. Twitter now is still quite like the beginning, but it's also failing to have consistent revenues, probably for this. I don't know how much Musk can do, but I'm curious too see the evolution! (PS: sorry for my english)
