I think twitter has been a big factor in destroying public discourse. I misguidedly created an account many years ago, and deactivated it two years ago. If you hadn't already deactivated it because of how bad twitter is, what is particularly special about now? Is it just as a protest against the new leadership (which I can understand), or is it because you really think there is going to be something materially worse now about twitter?
