Am I the only one who fails to see this “Web5” as anything but a marketing plot to make a product that is doing exactly what every other startup in Web3 is trying to do somehow stand out?
- freemrkt8 4y agoYeah it’s all indirection to generate hype for a new way to manage electron state in a machine. You see, it is beneath Jack and Co. to participate in the real work of keeping themselves alive. Jack recently apologized for his role in centralizing the web but of course he’s going to be a part of the new protocol centralization effort.
- klyrs 4y agoAnd, web3 is, what, "what if the web, but decentralized"? Yeah that ship sailed, we called it the internet. You probably haven't heard of it, it was before your time.
