Do I truly want to become a manager? [2019]
- JoeAltmaier 4y agoFolks get easily confused about what they want to do. They'll take an interest e.g. I like bars, and conclude "I should run a bar!" The only reason to run an organization is, you want to learn to run an organization. A small business, a bar, a dry cleaner - never mind what they do, your primary interest should be the management task itself. Without that you'll quickly burn our or start shirking the hard stuff (hiring/firing, order management, scheduling) and the business will founder and fail.
