Amazon is the clear choice over GoDaddy for someone young, remote or not (I'm a few years older than your son). My recent internships were remote so I was excited to work full time in person/hybrid. So far it's been a mixed bag. Positives include workplace socialization and ease of asking questions but I'm not learning more or being more productive than at my internship. With hybrid work, it's common to have two people in a meeting room with eight on the call remote. I'm considering remote in the future after this experience. Congrats to your son for two quality opportunities!
