Adobe Steals Your Color
- PaulHoule 4y agoFigma was never a competitor with Adobe tools so far as PANTONE colors are concerned. Anybody working for Figma is working for screens or they are using an ordinary CYMK printer. Pantone is for high-end work using spot colors. The vast majority of Adobe tool users are going to use common process colors, it's a very specialized thing that very few people need.

- hresvelgr 4y agoWhile I'm aware that companies like Adobe and Autodesk have a colossal stronghold in many creative industries, I also have no doubt that their repeated anti-consumer decisions will eventually bury them. The neglect for the performance and effectiveness of their software is painfully obvious. Make no mistake, they'll get theirs. Rome fell, after all. The alternatives nowadays are good enough that if you really hate Adobe, they are almost a no-brainer to switch to. Affinity, DaVinci, Penpot, Armor Lab/Paint cover 90% of their offerings.
