I was a depressed tech exec, so I took an $18-an-hour Amazon warehouse job
- ge96 4y agosounds like an even worse outcome as a person that used to work in factory setting/mind numbing labor jobs
- 8bitsrule 4y ago"I recommend that people do a stint at Amazon.... the idea of really seeing and really feeling what it feels like to be the average American worker is hugely helpful." I -suspect- that the (utter submission or else) A-experience is about as far from 'average' as Americans can get, based on the labor I've done (factory, construction) and seen being done. Extreme, rapid robo-work sort of peaked when the railroads were built (back when strikers were shot or dumped off trains hundreds of miles away).
