I’m surprised by that, I thougt Mesopotamia was well known to have some of the oldest human writing.
- atoav 4y agoI wanted to say: Mesopotamia would have been first on my list. The question however is "Who is the first author", to which I would say it cannot be answered. If we are speaking about the first known author that would be something different.
- noneeeed 4y agoI don’t think it’s as well known as you or I might assume. I’ve been fascinated by early writing for a long time and I often find people are unaware that writing like this (rather than transactional stuff) goes back that far.
