Giving cars big cartoon eyes will make them safer
- falleng0d 4y agothis looks like a extremely good idea. But would you buy a extremely expensive autonomous car with these weird eyes?
- sourdoughness 4y agoPresumably the sensors in the car can detect multiple people in a wide (360 degree?) arc/circle… but the eyes can only acknowledge a single person at a time. If you’re standing next to another person, how do you know that the eyes are looking at you and not the person next to you?
- TheLoafOfBread 4y agoSo somebody who develops self driving cars AND has driving license AND is actively driving has noticed that eye contact between driver and pedestrian is important. Nice, took you only 10 years of development of self driving cars...
