Can someone please help me understand, in my ignorance? I gather that the files are stored, in GitHub (or X), and that X is likely a corporation in the United States, hence the DMCA applies. What happens if said files are stored in Y jurisdiction, and not with a service, or cloud provider located in something US related. A fine example would be a privacy centric cloud in Sweden such as Bahnhof. Doesn't this (small) part of the war on advertising simply disappear?
