Just a question, does google's photo storage store the bits exactly as you send them?
- xyzzy_plugh 4y agoIn my experience, yes. You have to use Google Takeout to get the full bits back.
- encryptluks2 4y agoI've got a strategy of saving a local copy and then transferring to Google Photos, then using rclone sync those to Google Drive and purge local copies that I remove from Google Photos. It works really well and assures me that Google won't strip any metadata or reprocess the images.
