You're still responsible if your lane change causes an accident.
I don't see how it's worth $1. Do you trust the system to properly gauge the speed of a vehicle accelerating to pass you? If not then you need hands and eyes at the ready.
- modeless 4y agoYou still need to monitor cruise control as well, but that doesn't make it useless. It's nice on long drives.
- ethanbond 4y agoIMO the boundaries of cruise control’s abilities are extremely clear, so it doesn’t require a ton of overhead to know whether you’re pushing up against them.
- williamscales 4y agoEh, I'm not so sure about that anymore. Many cars these days have radar assisted cruise control so I think some of the same issues do apply.
