Clearly Republicans have benefited greatly from the electoral college lately. Whether that is good or bad depends on your political leaning. As a centrist I appreciate that the USA <> California. I don’t know that it is possible to judge this issue in an unbiased way.
- lupire 4y agoWhy do you appreciate that the US = the rural parts? That is the current alternative to "California". Ronald Reagan, patron saint of the right wing, was governor of California.
- _-david-_ 4y agoThe US does not equal the rural parts. Did the rural parts of America vote for Biden or support what he is doing? California from decades ago is hardly comparable to modern day California.
- UncleMeat 4y agoDirect election of the president would not make the USA = California. California would have about 13% of the impact on the presidential election, matching their percentage of the overall population.
- justin66 4y ago> Clearly Republicans have benefited greatly from the electoral college lately. Whether that is good or bad depends on your political leaning. It actually is possible to have an opinion about the electoral college that is grounded in principal, rather than how your favored political party is benefiting.
