The 1947 design and LEGO resemble each other much more: https://youtu.be/iFELcl75CiY?t=239 https://youtu.be/iFELcl75CiY?t=239 The entire video is about how LEGO's only own innovation seems to be the tube pattern at the bottom for more stability.
