Overlooking admittedly crude / uninformed payoffs to illustrate a point, why is PRC and US fightng "WW3" when it could just be confined to a peer power war. Maybe US can rope in JP and AU, but SKR/PH, ASEAN, NATO/EU unlikely. Most actors fine with being neutral observes to see how the primacy game will shake out.
