Consider cost of living and taxes in the Bay Area as well. These salaries would be extreme in a place like Idaho but in the Bay Area your money can quickly disappear.
- jefftk 4y agoI'm in Boston, which is more expensive than Idaho, but significantly cheaper than the Bay Area. For example, in 2015 I was able to buy a house that would have cost ~5x as much in a comparable location (25min commute to work, 10min from a subway station) in the Bay.
