Sure, but two states with assured destruction doctrines makes MAD, you ought to destroy the other because they will destroy you.
Why use a single WMD against the US when the final result (assured destruction) is the same as when you use a lots of WMDs.
- chipsa 4y agoMaybe. But my point is that "MAD" isn't a doctrine. It's a game-theoretic idea of the outcome of a nuclear war, and it assumes pre-conditions that aren't necessarily true, especially with regard to our opponents.
