- _re0r 4y agoAnd ... conversely the pigs that we know came to North America from Europe around that same time. The early settlers brought them over and released them thinking the pigs would just do the 'pannage' thing in the vast unmapped, unbordered and unfenced forests of America and they'd collect them come winter time at will. Instead, they ran off and procreated and went feral, and rest is history.
