I sometimes wonder if we (internet and social media denizens) collectively perform a sort of frequency illusion magic trick on ourselves by being exposed to the same idea or term by a common source and then proliferating content and mentions of it on the same platforms and environments as each other. But since the exposure, interest, rabbit hole diving, etc of others is hidden from us, it appears as a cognitive illusion to us upon introspection.
