Need it take 7,500 people to run Twitter?
- josefresco 4y agoWhatsApp and Twitter are not comparable. One is a public social media network, the other is a private chat app. One requires ad sales and massive moderation, the other does/did not.

There's enough people out there who will gladly pay a buck a month to be able to tweet to make it sustainable. > massive moderation "moderation" that they can't even regex out the endless cryptocurrency scams can't cost that much. Not to mention, making accounts paid will cut down significantly on the spam and rule-breaking because bans will now have a direct monetary cost.
