Just give up on low-end Windows laptops in combination with non-savvy users. Give them an iPad instead. Starts instantly, not in 10 minutes. Great battery life

Just give up on low-end Windows laptops in combination with non-savvy users. Give them an iPad instead.
Starts instantly, not in 10 minutes. Great battery life. Automatic backups when properly enabled. Far less security and malware risks. Few to none resource hogs slowing down the entire system. Not really possible to get a corrupt system as seems inevitable on Windows.
Even then you'll have some support. Like that time my mum called to say it's completely broken, doesn't turn on.
It turned on just fine, she forgot her password.
- SamuelAdams 4y agoI do the same thing with my parents. They use their iPhone for pretty much everything and I get to spend thanksgiving talking to family rather than fixing their tech. People complain about Apple having a closed ecosystem, but doing so disables all the spying / crapware that plagues Windows and Android.
