$10/day is probably a lot for this, I wonder how much they could cut their moderation costs by just launching a public platform where anyone anywhere in the world can get paid to do moderation.
- corobo 4y agoWouldn't that necessitate being a distributor of anything you could be trying to moderate?
- prvit 4y agoWhy would that be any different than the current situation? In fact, I think conducting this more publicly would have huge benefits. Perhaps you would attract more motivated staff, like pedophiles to go through CSAM?
- corobo 4y agoBecause they can control what happens to the content once it has been found. That second point is kinda daft and would be an absolute PR nightmare at best.

- corobo 4y agoFTA > Carolina, a former TikTok moderator who worked remotely for Teleperformance between June and September 2020, said supervisors asked her to be on camera continuously during her night shift. She was also warned that nobody else should be in view of the camera, and that her desk should be empty, apart from a drink in a transparent cup.
