The work for this is spread across a few different open source projects. https://codeconstruct.com.au/docs/dcscm-openbmc/ https://codeconstruct.com.au/docs/dcscm-openbmc/ has some details on the various software and gateware parts. (Disclosure, I did some of that work. Happy to answer questions).
- pabs3 4y agoI note that F4PGA (formerly SymbiFlow) Project X-Ray folks are documenting Xilinx FPGAs, hopefully you will be able to replace your use of Vivado at some point: https://f4pga.org/ https://f4pga.org/ https://f4pga.github.io/prjxray-db/ https://f4pga.github.io/prjxray-db/ https://github.com/F4PGA/prjxray https://github.com/F4PGA/prjxray

- pabs3 4y agoPS: I note that OpenPOWER really isn't very popular, for example it is similar-ish to RISC-V in the Debian popularity contest results. I wonder what the vendors are doing wrong and I wonder what CPU, server etc vendors there are other than IBM. https://popcon.debian.org/ https://popcon.debian.org/
