Basalt tape might be an option: it's commonly used for car exhaust insulation.
- userbinator 4y agoAs hot as exhaust pipes get, I doubt it would compare to being directly next to an open flame.
- londons_explore 4y agoA gas flame (ie. The blue ones when air is premixed) don't give off a lot of radiant heat, so anything below them ought to be okay.
