Interpol unveils a metaverse for law enforcement worldwide
- jacooper 4y agoIt feels institutions and companies are adopting the metaverse before any users actually do so. Which typically the opposite, companies opened Instagram accounts when it got popular, not when it started. > "By identifying these risks from the outset, we can work with stakeholders to shape the necessary governance frameworks and cut off future criminal markets before they are fully formed," Oberoi said. "Only by having these conversations now can we build an effective response." Or you can just ban them, like how it works on social media.
- beauHD 4y agoThere are people who were late to the game on social media, and are joining every new platform now so they don't miss out. Yeah, Interpol is now joining the chat, but I imagine various private metaverses will crop up in the near future, where all the members are vetted and there are no minors allowed, and these private metaverses won't rely on the deep pockets of Meta/FB to fund them.
