Google is trying to remove [Kanye West] interview from people’s Google Drive
- tsol 4y agoJust thought this was interesting. I didn't realize Google was actively purging files for 'hate speech' like this. It's a worrying precedent, I imagine there's a lot of useful stuff on people's databases that can possibly be confused as simple 'hate speech'.
- josephcsible 4y agoTo be fair to Google (even though they don't deserve it), they're not purging the files (yet). You can still upload and download your own files even if they get the scarlet letter; you just can't share them.
- tsol 4y agoI see. Still an issue, but good to know
- VHRanger 4y agoIt's possible this is happening - we've seen similar behavior from Google before. But seriously. This post is a link to a reddit post, which is a screenshot of an unconfirmed tweet. The reddit comments are entirely unhelpful ("1984"). It's the epitomy of low effort signal boosting. HN should be above having this hit the front page.
