I understand the desire to preempt official regulation with self-regulation, but they seem to be erring too far with being restrictive. I am working on a product where including a human in the loop is currently required by a major AI software vendor when all of our customers are asking for a self-serve solution. I see no danger in the self-serve solution as our customers are not the general public but rather educated professionals capable and incentivized to review the output of the AI tool.
