Kanye West Wants to Build His Own Mini-City Called the ‘Yecosystem’
- hunglee2 4y agoYe in 2022 looks like what would happen in Steve Jobs had a love child with Jimmy Jones. One the plus side, there is plenty to say about moving up the value chain and for creatives to starting to own the means of production and distribution for their work; on the other, we have to centre Ye's vocal anti-semitism, which appears to align with the doctrine of the Black Hebrew Israelites, and the potential damage it might do in influencing others with these ideas. A conundrum for freedom loving societies - do we allow hostile dissidents to create their own spaces within sovereign territory?
- Comevius 4y agoHe is not a dissident or whatever, he is mentally ill and being exploited by people close to him. It's sad really. Like that extremely fat guy on Youtube. The world should stop encouraging these people.
- superchroma 4y agoWell, yeah. People poked and prodded CWC until they raped their mother, and they take dramatic readings of Francis E. Dec's insane rants and set them to drum and bass tracks. At this point it seems like the connected digital world is one big decentralized colosseum and I don't really see anyone making a real fuss. We can't call each other the N-word anymore, but socially accepted forms of abuse are still celebrated.
