This is why I dream of a system that I could have as an implant and that would release a poison of I do not "log" every now and then. I would absolutely prefer to be dead then to be in such a coma, or paralyzed. Or if I have Alzheimer. The mere idea that there is a predictable end wild make it easier to go through that.
