Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz, 1944-2022
- choeger 4y agoMateschitz did something very impressive: Sell an oddly-tasting soft drink by financing (very successful) extremely expensive sports teams. The connection is so odd that no one could copy it. It's totally artificial, of course, but it's a brilliant invention and arguably socially relevant. Rest in Peace, Dietrich. P.s.: Fuck cancer.
- dontbenebby 4y agoIt's nice after having a few kief bowls for breakfast when you're in a strange neighborhood and don't know where to get a good cortado, but the fact it's supposed to be served chilled is annoying as hell, I wouldn't drink it warm. It sucks that the guy who invented it or whatever died, but at least it sounds like it was natural causes not, like, the guy who invented anti-virus moved in next door, started flying in pretty biology PhDs to invent new forms of bath salts, then murdered his neighbor when he rightfully complained about the lunatic American. (And I say that as someone named Gregory who... hasn't always the best neighbor.)
