To reduce hospitalizations and avoid overwhelming the hospitals.
- yucky 4y agoNo that was masking, social distancing and lockdowns. By the time the vaccines rolled out the threat of hospital strain was gone and we were told it was to save grandma, if you weren't concerned with it. Workplaces mandated it "to protect our workers". Every single political leader and public health official claimed the vaccines would reduce transmission. Now we know they were all lying when they said that.
