Facebook threatens to block news content over Canada's revenue-sharing bill
- clouddrover 4y agoFacebook is just following its playbook from a couple of years ago when Australia did the same thing. Eventually Facebook capitulated and made deals with media companies. It's a pretty dumb negotiating tactic to go ahead and prove that you have a lot of power over online content by threatening to remove it. Facebook is making the Canadian government's case for them.
