Not surprised. I remember pushing back pretty aggressively against some people trying to get this stuff codified into law here. Ostensibly it stands to benefit people by increasing accessibility. However, it hamstrings the average Joe because as it turns out the ADA is a labyrinth of gotchas and compliance is often expensive. In the case of software, a simple app doable by one person could easily take 10x as long if you are required by law to do this.
The only benefit to our industry is for people not trying to make money you can release things anonymously and avoid the pain. Unfortunately for everyone else once this happens here it's curtains for small business.
