Never heard of this format or it being some kind of standard. Is five paragraphs really an ‘essay’?
- tcmart14 4y agoIt was pretty common when I started writing papers in school up till maybe 10th grade? I've never heard it as "classic 5-paragraph" but as "1-3-1 format." After 10th grade we introduced bringing in counter arguments.
