I guess it depends how stressful or demanding your job is and how much involvement your employer expects from you. There are plenty of people with very lax jobs where they're basically on vacation anyway, except getting paid for it, especially at big bloated companies, might as well go "work" in some interesting places. One of my friends has the dream job. He gets paid to ask his offshore team in Vietnam every day "how's the work going and when is X gonna be ready?" so that he can forward these answers to his own bosses in Germany lol. Perfect job for traveling while working.
