With hardware prices going down and new GPUs and better algorithms coming to light, it’s only a matter of few years until anybody will be able to train custom versions as powerful as today’s AI, without protections, probably biased, etc. Sure, they will be 5-10 years behind big corps, but it won’t matter once poorman AI will be good enough to matter.
