There is the wrong saying that is, "If you build it, they will come." Wrong-o.
You have to create drip email marketing campaigns, blogs, pictures, drop new music all the time, videos, all kinds of stuff. Just posting a song on Patreon won't cut it.
Record labels, music venues all have marketing machinery to promote. They do. It is expensive and time-consuming.
But if someone does it right, direct to consumer, then it could be a lot more lucrative, for sure.
