Why read into it so deeply? Elon either clowns around or deliberately issues statements that leverage his social reach and have a direct financial impact for his benefit, and it is very difficult to determine which is which. Either way, reality rarely goes exactly as he predicts.
- ggm 4y agoI don't see your comment as materially altering mine by either tone or intent. The "if" in both is strong. He has form for almost manic egotistical misleading statements which he either doubles down on, or withdraws with a trumpian "can't you tell a joke" and then lashes out in another direction. Try ideating how Twitter staff feel, with an even humorous threat to 3 in 4 of them to lose their job.
