Why is this seen as such a high valuation?! 1) OpenAI got $1b to burn on cloud compute and they did that. So they obviously need a big raise for more compute. 2) Stability is looking to raise at a $1b valuation, so clearly OpenAI must be worth at least 10x. 3) OpenAI has grown their brand immensely during the pandemic and now a recession. So clearly the whole team is outperforming. 4) There are tons of people in the YC community who will think gdb and sama are solidly worth 10 figures for what they’ve done here. So doesn’t this number seem.. small? Wait you mean there might be doubts about the business?
