- redthrowaway 15y agoPossible, yes, but you have to both buy the cars and pay the drivers, one of the reasons taxis are so expensive (the other being licenses running in the hundreds of thousands of dollars). If we project 5 years down the road to a time when gas prices are even higher, electric vehicles are cheaper and more reliable, and the technology is ready for prime time, I could easily see cars as a service working.
