Barcelona’s blocks turn out to be not so cute. Traversing multiple blocks straight requires diagonal zig-zags eating 10% of time and you could easily lose orientation, especially if you jump into a shop on the corner. Also it’s simply annoying to see your straight path ahead and having to wave around it and then wait on a traffic light.
