To be fair, those € 1200 for music via Spotify are easily dwarfed by the about 100 cd’s I bought as a teenager ten years prior. There’s no chance I would have spent this little for physical copies. Especially for more niche music (say, classical) I expect the returns must have fallen drastically. Less returns just means less records and less artists, amplifying the top lot and historic catalogue.
