My cofounder is as well, on Xubuntu. Meanwhile, I've had multiple issues getting just 2 to work across years of using Ubuntu (there was a good few year span when I didn't have to fiddle with anything and it did just work). Recently, I had a second monitor running with my Ubuntu installation, but one day the monitor stopped working, and the next I couldn't build JS projects without running the command as root (?!). Switched to WSL and it's been great.

- pantalaimon 4y ago> next I couldn't build JS projects without running the command as root I don't see how Ubuntu would be responsible for that, sounds like PEBCAK to me
